Try a security supply store. Up here in Norcal we have Reeds which pretty much has everything you want. You can also try to find a fabricator or gate company that can make what ever you are looking for.

Have a welder make you some bars. Its way cheaper to buy the material and build them yourself.

Is it FFLs only that have to have security gates and windows? There is local FFL that does not have any in my town. I have not been able to locate any list security of requirements for an AVL.

I just submitted my application for a COE today, I will be applying for a AVL as soon as I get my COE#.

The regs from DOJ say “secure facility” it’s possible your local FFL secures his place different but is still compliant.

Many shops either put away the guns at night or are out of compliance (many FFLs just unknowingly dont follow the law and can be inspected and not hit on everything) but i am setting up the shop so want to try to hit the compliance issue now if I can. I have someone lookling into making something.

Thanks for the responses. The facility I'm referring to is top notch so I'm sure he's got it covered. Does anyone know of any specific regs that apply to AVLs only?

Contact your insurance company and ask them.
The better you demonstrate security, the better rates they might give.
