Any reason why one DROS would come back Approved and another Undetermined?

I bought a gun in Feb and another from the same shop in June. The gun in Feb came back approved and the June purchase came back undetermined. FLL won't release on undetermined.

Application was correct and I haven't been arrested, convicted or anything ever, especially in the last few months. Gun dealer has no idea and suspects perhaps that due to Covid and workload somehow I got caught up in something. I'm looking to import another gun out of state and don't want to complete that purchase if I'm going to come back undetermined again and be out the money for purchase.

Are there any dealers that release on undetermined? I'm in the Ventura/LA County area if someone can help point me in the right direction.

As the Gun dealer has mentioned, you're likely caught up in the delays caused by COVID and the increase in firearm purchases.

If you're willing to make the drive, 2A Zone in Rancho Cucamunga is highly recommended. PM user waygeekierthanu or give them a call (contact info on) https://www.2azone.com/- they may be an appointment based FFL

Might possibly have been an error on the part of the dealer in entering information on the second DROS. Sometimes the slightest error can cause the system to not match prior entries.

Look at your copy of the DROS carefully and see if anything seems incorrect. We mag swipe the ID and the DROS system autofills -- sometimes incorrectly. I always show my customers the PREVIEW and let them make any corrections before I submit. We've found name misspellings, wrong birthdates and even wrong race autofilled.

FSC is matched immediately and any errors there won't allow submission. For everything else, all bets are off. We have not seen any DROS come back undetermined during COVID.
