How to verify CA compliant custom rifle

    Hi
I am a new FFL-01 holder. A customer has asked me to process the sale of a 9 mm pistol caliber carbine. I found the vendor on the DROS entry form. I was provided the model number to enter. Am I responsible to verify it is not classified as an assault weapon. The pre-invoice states detachable magazine, low profile CA compliant grip, pinned compensator, no collapsable/folding or thumb hole stock and no grenade/flare launcher.
    Any help/suggestions are appreciated

You are processing a DROS without the Firearm in hand?

Thanks for the replies! Only a test DROS, just looking. Would I add any thing to the comments saying that it has the CA compliant grip and other "stuff". Or, is the manufacturer and model number enough? I feel sometimes less info is sometimes better.

        regards,
        Robert

Just make sure it is ca compliant featureless. Pinned stock muzzle brake or barrel nut and proper grip. Pretty straightforward.

Our CA rep told us that we need to put the type of lock or other security device into the comments section.

Yes, for them to see during audit. I hand write it in as well.
