Some buyers are clueless. Also some sellers as well. -
Off roster returns
We urge all purchasers to call us so we can verify the firearm is California compliant in every way. If we receive a firearm that is not California compliant, we charge a transfer fee to return it to the shipper. If the seller or buyer will not pay it, it becomes mine after a reasonable period of time. As busy as we are, spending a few minutes helping the buyer verify the correct model is time well spent and avoids the whole bad situation.Comment

Probably lots of newbs that think there's a gun show loophole and it's easier to buy a gun than a pack of smokes... too dumb to know what they don't know, and too lazy to pick up the phone and ask.
Then they will complain about how no one wants to ship to CA... and go vote "D" in November, while complaining about how their rights were infringed.
The potential legal aspects are so complex that a "novice" who doesn't do this for a living shouldn't try it without finding a good FFL to work with!Comment

When I was a dealer in CA, and now in NV I don’t allow my FFL to be put on any preferred FFL Dealer list so some buyer can’t simply pick my info and send me an unwanted or unknown shipment. If a buyer is that inconsiderate not to contact you or me first it deserves to go back.sigpic
