I have a friend who has an FFL and will be visiting here. I want to order a rifle and have it shipped to him. Can he bring it with him and then we can do a transfer at a local FFL? So I guess instead of him shipping it to an FFL, he will physically bring it here. Would this be ok? Or is he required to ship it here?

Sure, its no different than him shipping it, however he will need some way of delivering the firearm along with the CFLC to the FFL here in CA. Double check with your dealer here in CA beforehand to make sure they are ok with it.Interstate Transfers $100 (DROS included with the price)

Why not ship it to your local FFL (after checking with them) in the first place and eliminate any potential confusion with your friend involved...when he doesn't need to be?I have a friend who has an FFL and will be visiting here. So, now it is ironic that the State whittles away at the right of its citizens to defend themselves from the possible oppression of their State.

Sure. All of the requirements would be the same as if he shipped it.Comment
