    MPX Pistol PPT

Hey CG. I'm going to be transfering a sig MPX pistol to my name, but it is not compliant yet. So we plan of transfering the lower. Does the lower have to be in compliance? And will I still need a 10rd mag for the ppt?

A lower is a lower, just transfer it like that there's no such thing as a compliant lower

The CA DROS doesn't taint the lower, so it doesn't matter. Under federal law, it is is other and receiver. What matters is what it is first made into. If it is first made into a handgun, then it can go back and forth, if it is first made into a long gun, then that is all it can ever be legally.

There are CA laws in regards to manufacturing, as well as manufacturing a handgun which hasn't been tested to be safe.

It's already registered as a semi pistol. But it doesn't not have the fixed magazine.

I just sold a g26 at Called2Arms and asked him about transfering the lower itself. He said because it's a pistol, it has to have the magazine fixed in it already.
