Do I need a CA Drivers License to PPT here?

I recently moved out of state and have a TN license now. I still work in CA. I haven’t moved all my arms to TN yet.

Can I PPT/sell here in CA still? The off-roster was originally (and still is) registered here in CA.

I don’t see in the FAQ threads if the seller also needs to prove residency.

You need a valid California driver's license to purchase or sell any firearm in California

I think I found my answer,

I am going to get a CA “ID” while maintaining my out of state Driver’s License.

I will report back when or “if” I am able to complete this process.

You need a CA ID or DL, or military ID with duty station orders.

If you are working here, then I believe you are required to have a CA DL if you are driving here, per CA law.

Really? I've had contractors from out of state on long term projects out here (years), but they flew home every weekend. None of them ever got a CA DL. When they were here they rented cars and stayed in hotels or corporate apartments. Granted that was years ago I worked with them. Is this a new law? How long do you have to be working here before CA expects you to get a DL even when you're going home every weekend?
