Link or info regarding FFL Pricing to do interstate intrafamilial transfer?

did a search and I am sure I will be jumped all over for asking a question that it either stickied or has been asked a million times, but can't seem to find it. I have a father that lives in Texas and would like to give me his old handgun as he got another one that he prefers. He'd like to send it to me but I have never done this before. From what I can find, different dealers can charge as much as they'd like to perform this service. Some are much more reasonable than others.

I live in South OC, so I would prefer a dealer local. or at least in OC if possible

Anyone have a link or list of what specific dealers charge for this service?

I think you will have to contact the different dealers in your area to see what they charge. I do not recall any thread that shows prices. They should not charge you more than they do for a regular out of state transfer. As you stated each dealer is free to charge what they want for the transfer. Some may be unwilling to do the type of transfer you are requesting, even though it is perfectly legal. Just getting someone to answer the phone now may be difficult in the current climate. And many are operating by appointment only. Email may be your best bet. Look in Gun Broker for dealers in your area and choose a small operation, they usually post prices on the GB listing also.

and there's no sticky because shops can change their prices at any time. Nobody is going to make and keep updated a statewide database of dealer fees. $50-$100 is typical. A few will do less. And not all openly advertise their fee, so you may have to call/walk in and ask.
