    Destroying firearms

Beyond the Federally accepted method of destroying a firearm, is there any paperwork that is required to be completed and turned in??

    AFAIK...

No Federal paperwork needs to be done for Title 1 firearms.

CA requires paperwork, if a Notice of No Longer in Possession is being submitted due to the firearm being destroyed.
^Copy of insurance claim and/or statement from a firearm manufacturer or gunsmith certifying the firearm was destroyed, along with the reason for destruction and the method used to destroy it.

Can you provide more info about this? When did this start, are you talking about online only or paper form only or both, do you have any reference?

          The form is still available

And still shows as a form on their form website https://oag.ca.gov/firearms/forms

That's the form I printed off and will be using. FYI these are a couple of old Benelli's that were "agricultural" guns and just plain warn out. Can't be fixed...
