Can you DROS multiple firearms on one Form 4473

When I lived in Florida I knew I could put multiple firearms on one ATF Form 4473. I have never purchased multiple firearms while living in CA, so can I buy multiple AR lowers on one DROS/4473?

DROS, no. One DROS fee, yes. 4473, yes but why do you care?

Some FFLs don't understand the supplemental sheet for firearms and think that only 4 firearms can be transferred per 4473, but that isn't correct.

As said, each firearm has to have a separate DROS, but there is only one fee for any number of transactions which are done at the same time.

As well, there is the question as to why you would be asking, which may give another answer.

A DROS is not a 4473. A 4473 is not a DROS. One is a state form and one is a fed form. They each have their own quirks, including the fact that one will let you record multiple firearms and one will not. The state could care less about the 4473 and the Feds could care less about the DROS.

In any case, you can buy as many AR lowers as you want. Let the FFL worry about the paperwork details. If you aren't buying them from the FFL who is doing the transfer to you, you could be in for a bit of sticker shock on the transfer fees.

Its not a problem. I DROS'd 75 rifles at one time and it was costly but not an issue. I am sure I'm on some ATF watch list now. LOL
