Help: trying to get my COE

Hi, as the title says. I am trying to start the process to get my COE. Where I am having trouble is printing out the request for live scan form (BCIA 8016). When I enter the link:

do you know what the current turn around time is for the coe application? i turned mine in yesterday.

So far the only estimate time I have seen is 6-8 weeks but I think that information was an old statement.

I filed in January 2020 and my Coe was issued at the 25 day mark. I filed for the the COE and mailed the FFL03 app the same day after processing my Livescan. That was before all the craziness that is ongoing. I believe my FFL03 arrived in the mail a couple days before the COE was issued.

I was wondering also, is there an amount of time I should wait after my live scan to mail my paperwork out? Or do you guys think it would be okay if I mail my stuff the same day I do my live scan?

You should complete your paperwork for the FFL print and mail to both the Feds and your local LEO. Then get the live scan. Come home and go online and apply for the COE. You need the ATI number from the livescan to complete the COE app. You can do it all the same day.

Send in and get the 03 first, it'll take longer than COE (after livescan takes 1-7 days to approval) . This way you save 1-3 month "expire time" on COE.

My coe took 48 hrs past summer

I tuned in my FFL and updated COE application on 3/2 - I forgot to add my CDL.
Received my acceptance on 4/7.
Still pending on my FFL03.

i just submitted my 03 and COE paperwork today. I returned receipt requested a copy of my app to our chief. Was that overkill or would regular mail do?

overkill. their acknowledgment of receiving is not mandatory or necessary. As long as you did your part you're gtg.

Oh well. I was going to just walk it up to the office, but I did not want anyone to say that I was doing personal stuff while on duty. Better safe than sorry.

Now if they would just clear my DROS so I can pick up my rifle.

I just got my COE!!! I applied 4/22/20 and received notice that I was approved on 05/15/22. The email came on 5/16/22 at 0100 hours. someone over there must be burning the midnight oil.

Still no word on 03 though, so this is kind of useless without it.

The turnaround time on COEs is currently between 3 and 4 weeks.
