Resident Alien Residency question

OK, I must be having a brain fart today. Musta been the broccolli. ANYWAY,

I have a question that I should know the answer to but might be getting confused.

SCENARIO: Legal Resident Alien wants to purchase OLL lower receiver. He's in the military (military ID card) a resident of California (CADL). The Feds require his A number for being a resident alien and require additional info to show that he has been in country for at least 90 days. I used Bank Statements from 3 Months ago.

OK< NOW FOR THE STATE> Since this isn't a handgun, do I still need additional documentation to show residency? Like a CA DMV registration, or a utility bill???

I would say no. Since it is basically a rifle purchase and you have all the information to fill out the 4473. You have already establish their residency to meet the requirements of the feds. I could be wrong though it has happened before.
