    FFL problem.

I recently picked up a firearm from Ammo Bros Ontario 2 weeks ago, and I now received a call saying they want me to come in to sign a paperwork supposedly for the DoJ.
The problem is, that is about 75 miles and 1 and 1/2 hour drive (with no traffic) from me.
I have no time to drive out there.
I asked if he can fax and I fax back, which they said that will not work.

What options are there? Can I tell them to pound sand?(lol)

they may have made a mistake or missed something and in order to cover their end they need you to come back and make sure all the paperwork is in order.

you can ask them up front if they need you back because they screwed up the paperwork. And tell them to compensate you for your time either with ammo or something else.

This happens here and there. Nothing will happen to you. They document that they made a mistake, tried to contact you, you said you can't go, that should be enough to keep them out of hot water. My understanding is that the ATF and doj won't wreck us for making a mistake, as long as we catch it and try to remediate and document the crap out of it

They can mail it or perhaps even come to you. It is on them, not you. You can be nice, but they need to be the ones who the burden falls on.

Tell them you will come in when you are in the neighborhood next time.

If they object, tell them to send someone to your place.

If they object, ask them how generous they will be for your time and effort.

Mistakes are made. You don't need to kiss their ***, but you don't have to bust their balls either. I have dealt with 10-15 different FFLs in the past 15 years and I can honestly say that they all have treated me right. If the DOJ is coming down on the FFL over an error, I am going to do all I can to help the FFL when I can. Karma is real.

Ask them to send someone up to you. No need for you to go back in for their mistake.

                        This^ 1000%

Let them send someone to you - because why should their mistake cost you a days wages + travel costs. It's on them to rectify their problem, not you.
