That is nice, except when I notice the details. It says that all entries must be handwritten. If it is an additional sheet and if the 4473 can be done on the computer, why does the additional firearms have to be handwritten?

One of the purposes of government is to confound its masses. Ours does an exceptional job!

Instructions say to add them on a piece of paper and attach to 4473. They really should put the availability to put at least 6 lines for firearms listed. Or, provide online an extra sheet that can be downloaded to attach to 4473

Did you see if the new version says the same thing? That new form will be available for download to attach to it, but it shouldn't be limited to handwritten.

Oh I see what you mean. We hand write ours anyway.

We use Epicor for our boundbook and electronic 4473 generator. I'll have to check with them once this update forum has concluded.

I don't understand why they need to include gender at all. If they are putting in non-binary and the person's ID doesn't match (yet) then what are you supposed to do? And what if everyone for the sake of effing with the govt just chooses non-binary going forward? Then what identifying value does that field have anymore?

I sent in feedback. Told them to get rid of fields such as race, gender, weight... to put all customer stuff on one page and to give us more fields for firearms.

Because if the person is prohibited, it makes it easier to have a description of the person. Remember there is no Federal requirement to copy the ID used.

If a person (or something) commits a crime against you, just saying some life form doesn't tend to help catch the it.

It just shows where we have gotten to and I don't think it is a good place.

I suspect it tends to narrow the suspect field when warrants are issued for them who provide false info. to the govment.
