How is the new 1 in 30 law going to effect receivers? Specifically AR type receivers?

We all know a receiver is not a semi-automatic, but in the pea brained mind of the state when we DROS a receiver we have to select type, like "rifle" and then "semi-auto" since it is the most appropriate selection. Are these going to be exempt from the 1 in 30 or not?

I was thinking I would do them as bolt action. You can easily build a bolt action AR from a receiver.

Well just because a receiver can be marked rifle/semi-auto doesn't mean it's a centerfire semi-auto rifle.. so I am going to do receivers the same as always. The Penal Code said rifles not receivers.

Since when you select Receiver there is no caliber selection how do they know it isn't a 22 rimfire? They don't.

This bill would, effective July 1, 2021, make the 30-day prohibition and the dealer delivery prohibition described above also applicable to semiautomatic centerfire rifles.
