I put a bid on a used handgun on Gunbroker. I had owned an identical handgun in the past. I then asked the selling dealer a question, he replied that that handgun is not on the CA roster, and therefore is for LEO only, which I am not.
It is entirely my fault for not verifying before I placed the bid, and I will meet all my obligations towards the bid I placed. There were no other bids, and my contact to the dealer was within an hour of bidding. The bid does not close for another four days.
What is the standard practice in these situations?
