I have been a preferred dealer for Bud's for many years, even though I am not a big fan of them due to many reasons. Recently I received a call from a customer saying that they needed to contact me first, which isn't what it says for a preferred dealer, so I checked and I was no longer a preferred dealer and the change was made with no contact with me, which I considered to be unacceptable.
I called a person I had talked to recently due to a problem customer. In part because it is nearly impossible to call them unless you have an extension of a person. She said that the notes said that because I work by appointment I can not be a preferred dealer. Not sure of where this is written, but it sure seems made up. She said that a manager could call me, but when I asked what he would say other than what she said, she said that he might be able to tell me more, or in other words more attempting to justify what they did and no change, which would be a waste of time, so I told her to remove my listing. Too many problems with Bud's and their customers, so it is a good thing really.
I suspect that the real reason is due to a problem customer. On my Bud's listing it said to send me email to be notified when the firearm arrives (too many customers who don't tell their SO what they are doing and then their SO getting upset when I call a shared number telling them that a firearm arrived). He never did. He ordered two firearms and the first one was delayed in being delivered because I was out of town and was delivered the day that I got back. The second one, which I didn't know at the time was for him, was directed to be returned to Buds and wasn't delivered that day. I later got a call from Bud's asking if I still had the firearm that had arrived, which I said that I did and that the customer had never contacted me, as mentioning what my listing says. Bud's ended up calling the customer and conferencing him on a phone call. He claimed that this was the first time he has done this. He was told to send an email message and he agreed to have the second firearm shipped to me. It took him over 12 hours to send the email.
I replied to his email and then I got a message from him telling me what time he would come, which isn't how you make an appointment. I replied telling him that, as well saying that the second firearm hadn't arrived and that I thought that he wanted to do both the transfers at the same time. Silence. Then later I get a message from him again telling me when he would show up as the other firearm was scheduled to arrive. I responded that again wasn't how to make an appointment and while there was an issue with the time, I agreed to the date/time, as well as telling him all of the documents that he might need (since he said he hadn't done a transfer like this before). I then got an email starting with "Listen ...", which showed a really bad attitude, which combined with a firearm transfer isn't good, so I told him to request that the firearms be sent back. One funny thing that he claimed was that I never told him what the charges would be, but it was on my Bud's listing, as well I give a discount for members of gun rights organizations and since I don't know if he is a member or not, I can't give a total cost, but gave him all the information that he needed to figure it out. Perhaps in addition to a reading problem, he has a math problem.
I suspect that due to his inability to communicate, Bud's decided to remove me as preferred dealer. It seems that Bud's can't communicate either. Due to this problem case i tried to call them a couple of times and each attempt resulted in being on hold for over 30 minutes and my hanging up due to having other things to do. My message to them also went unanswered.
