What inspection? You already in business? How long? If they gave you a heads up you are probably a kitchen table.

Make sure all your paperwork is done right, make sure you have all the signs required up, make sure you post your inventory here when you're done (lol). Good luck,

Generally unless you are intentionally breaking the law you don't have much to worry about. Even if you have paperwork mistakes, Secure Facility flaws, Incorrect signage, they will go over it and almost everything is correctable. Stay humble, don't argue. If they say you are doing something wrong you know you are not they have to put it on the corrective item worksheet and site the PC/CCR you violated. So they may tell you something wrong. Remember they are people and IMHO the auditors have always been nice, sometimes wrong, but still nice. Don't be a a hole.

I'm a kitchen table and they didn't give me a heads up, lucky you. At this point the only thing you can really change would be signage so make sure that is up-to-date, otherwise just make sure you understand why you do things the way they do so if they see you're doing it wrong you can defend it. They tried to ding me for doing one in 30 exempt on seeing our purchases and I told them that that was the law and I had to show them their own Bulletin

                  Exactly!

If you have forewarning, drop everything you are doing and audit yourself. Any correction made before they get there is a violation they don't catch you on.

Give me 48 hours notice, and I'll give you a significantly cleaner audit

Not necessarily. I've been in (storefront) business for 21 years and I received a letter of intent from DOJ each of my 4 inspections. We are in a remote rural area in CA and the inspector travels from Sac. north and hits several operations over a given period of time.

Post your inventory. You are going to jail.

Make sure that you have all the required signs up.
