Best Collateral in So. San Francisco

In my area, the closest pawn shop with FFL is Best Collateral in So. San Francisco, which is about 1.5 hours away.

Any thoughts about this venue, or any alternate recommendations?

Also, was there ever any definitive guidance regarding the viability or legality of doing a PPT to yourself?

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

I don't see how you're going to be able to "PPT it to yourself" 1. I don't see you finding an FFL that will go along with your reasoning, 2. I doubt the DES will allow the buyer and seller information that keyed or swiped in to be the same, 3rd it wouldn't be a PPT since the PC says that its between two residents. So basically that option was dead right off the bat. You're best bet is to pawn it, find a shop that's close by that will handle it for you. If you say its an hour and a half drive that stinks, but it is what it is. Good luck

PSGUNS, thanks for the detail. There was a post in this sub-forum a few months ago wherein an FFL was curious about whether one could PPT to oneself. As the PC states 'between two residents' that seems to clear that up.
