I had this happen where they were not sure on a CMP 1911 and they called the DOJ to check for themselves but it took a few days.
"Yeah, like... well, I just want to slap a hippie or two. Maybe even make them get jobs."

If they don't wan to call DOJ or read the PC, or investigate for themselves, move on to an FFL that understand. Just recently had an FFL who have been in business for a long time but still doesn't know 03 + COE is exempt 1 in 30 on multiple modern handguns. After I educated them and provided proof, they were happy to do the transfer.Comment

Just walk them through the steps. In the C&R DROS have them scroll down to the firearm information. There is a drop down that says "Waiting period Exemption." They will select Collector and then input your COE number. Where some people are confused is not you have to leave the Submit DROS screen and go to the Deliver DROS screen where previously it automatically became available to deliver.Comment

No reason for you to bring anything up and I know what I’m doing. You said you had residency issues and name issues on your FFL.
I told you to bring it all in and if there were issues since you haven’t shown them to me yet, you would need to bring everything and wait the 10 days
Edit: This was over a phone call with multiple people in my store that I was also taking care of. Then evidently you talked to the other guy in the store after I left who just called me cause he didn’t know.
Try to understand something about text and phone calls, they are vague. Like I said and yes I made no promise if or not you need to wait 10 days based on the errors you told me about on the phone. If your errors are now corrected, so be it. Otherwise you will need to wait the ten days.Last edited by taperxz; 10-10-2019, 6:19 PM.Comment
