how to sell my firearm in another state

Before the assault rifle ban in California i moved my rifles to Nevada now i would like to sell them since they are still legal in Nevada how would i go about selling them there and making sure they are no longer under my name in California?

Thanks for any info on this topic.

Hopefully this is the correct area to post this. I have not found much on this topic.

    2) making sure they are no longer under my name in California?
    1) If you are not a Nevada resident, then transfer of your rifles-from-California requires using a NV FFL; Federal law imposes that requirement. Transfers between residents of different states are called 'interstate transfers', no matter where the guns may be located geographically. Nevada law on transfers between residents of Nevada has essentially no influence on the Federal requirement.

    2) there is no designed way to un-link your name from the guns in California's Automated Firearms System (AFS), the database of guns and gun owners.

There is a CA form called "No Longer In Possession" that demands a lot of information from the buyer be reported to CA; submitting that form does not, however, remove your name from the records.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

In addition, per BATFE and NV DPS, a person with a valid Nevada Seasonal Resident ID is not considered a resident of Nevada for the purposes of transferring firearms.

"valid Nevada Seasonal Resident ID" please explain this statement

Nevada has a Seasonal Resident ID, which is issued to part time residents of Nevada and non-residents of NV that own property in NV.

The Nevada Seasonal Resident ID requires proof of a NV address (property deed, rental agreement, etc) and is only valid for 8 years, then it needs to be renewed.

If you apply for a NV DL/ID from the NV DMV and you do not surrender your current State issued DL, then NV DMV will issue you a NV Seasonal Resident ID.

In 02-2010, BATFE and NV DPS determined (NV Courts have upheld this), that for the purposes of acquiring/transferring firearms in NV, a person with a Nevada Seasonal Resident ID is not a resident of NV.

            Which means...
            1. A NV resident must utilize a FFL to transfer a firearm to a NV seasonal resident.
            2. A NV FFL can only transfer Title 1 Rifle or Title 1 Shotgun to a NV seasonal resident, as long as the transfer complies with NV laws and the State laws of the NV seasonal resident's valid State issue DL/ID.
