    Blank CFLC letter

Today has been quite a day, but then again this week has been a week.

Today I received a firearm in which the paperwork serial number didn't match the firearm. It happens and the number wasn't all that well marked (old military rifle).

Then the next box I open has something which has me confused. The CFLC letter has no information on it, not the shipper's name and address, not my name and address and no numbers for the firearms shipped. I contacted the shipper and they provided a copy of the CFLC, which had the proper ship date, so they didn't just create it today. So how exactly do you print a CFLC with no information on it?

I am annoyed with UPS right now. There was a firearm what was supposed to arrive on Monday, but it seems it too a vacation at a sorting hub for a day. Then it was marked that it was out on the truck on Tuesday, but no delivery was attempted. I called them on Wednesday and told that I would not be available in the afternoon and they could care less and refused to give priority to an undelivered package. The people on the phone had no clue as to why. A person on facebook said that the problem was that the driver is limited in the number of hours, which is why they claim it wasn't delivered, but no reason for they delay it getting it to the local facility. I talked to a driver in my area yesterday and he said he didn't have it on his truck and that they were splitting the route in some strange way. While he was driving on my street, right near my house, they didn't give him the package. He was nice enough to get the package today and delivered it first thing on his route. So at least some UPS employees are good, not not the rest of the company.

I'm going to guess it was a printer issue. Maybe toner or ink and the way they had their settings it didn't print for whatever reason.

It had the common text on it and the spacing for the CA in what would be my address was to the far left, which indicates that it wasn't an ink issue, plus all the text is black.

So you made me not be lazy and actually post a copy of it.

My 2md guess is cflc website was effed up when they went to print that out but data was saved so they were able to reprint it.

Since we're talking anomalies (weird things) and not to hijack your issue Kem, I tried to print out a DROS the other day from the Deliver Gun/Review DROS column and got a prompt that said, "number does not exist"! While I sat staring at the number and reentering it I received the same prompt. The number was in sequence with a previous DROS (i.e., 0001-0002).
I called DOJ, explained the issue and they got the same prompt!!!
"Stand by, we'll get back to you."
Four days later got a return call and DOJ was able to bring up the number which I eventually printed out. Fortunately, I was not at the 30 day limit or I probably couldn't have Delivered the gun.
DOJ had no solution as to why this situation occurred.

Maybe low bid isn't a good idea, oh, wait, they got no bids so they had to do it themselves.

It does seem like they are having more problems. It might be as the data saved increases, it is causing problems.

What's really strange, it appears the shipper never even looked at the printed form!!

That is normal. I have to wonder how many actually read the email that I send for a transfer since often I have to said "I said ...".
