Today has been quite a day, but then again this week has been a week.
Today I received a firearm in which the paperwork serial number didn't match the firearm. It happens and the number wasn't all that well marked (old military rifle).
Then the next box I open has something which has me confused. The CFLC letter has no information on it, not the shipper's name and address, not my name and address and no numbers for the firearms shipped. I contacted the shipper and they provided a copy of the CFLC, which had the proper ship date, so they didn't just create it today. So how exactly do you print a CFLC with no information on it?
I am annoyed with UPS right now. There was a firearm what was supposed to arrive on Monday, but it seems it too a vacation at a sorting hub for a day. Then it was marked that it was out on the truck on Tuesday, but no delivery was attempted. I called them on Wednesday and told that I would not be available in the afternoon and they could care less and refused to give priority to an undelivered package. The people on the phone had no clue as to why. A person on facebook said that the problem was that the driver is limited in the number of hours, which is why they claim it wasn't delivered, but no reason for they delay it getting it to the local facility. I talked to a driver in my area yesterday and he said he didn't have it on his truck and that they were splitting the route in some strange way. While he was driving on my street, right near my house, they didn't give him the package. He was nice enough to get the package today and delivered it first thing on his route. So at least some UPS employees are good, not not the rest of the company.
