    CA compliant "asalt guns"

Have any of you FFL dealers discussed with your customers the potential ramifications of CA compliant guns being ruled illegal "if or when" there is another A.W. ban?
I know it's a loaded question but the questions are coming in from owners.

Nothing more than explaining what happens when the Bullet Button ban came, I kind of think it's a responsible to go any further than that since we just don't know what the rules are going to be but you can always explain history

I guess what I'm wondering is, it will require a whole new definition of AW which will likely encompass a whole bunch of "stuff"...

Yes. They could declare that all semi-auto firearms with a detachable magazine is a so-called a-salt weapon. You can't predict the future. The best thing to say is to pay attention. I know there are those who legally bought a firearm and wasn't aware of any of the changes declaring it was now EVIL(tm).

No, but most of my conversions around what is legal are always ended with "for now"... such as:
yes featureless is legal for now
Yes that grip is legal for now
Yes you can purchase more then 1 receiver per 30 days for now
            etc...

My customer agreement states that it’s their responsibility to stay current on all legislation and to see how that applies to their specific situation. So to answer. Yes we have told our customers.

Is CA a NFA/Class III legal state?

If NOT, than there are NO "asalt," "assault," or other weapons of those type, to BE 'regulated.'

What does the NFA have at all to do with assault weapons? Not one exists in the registry since it is a political definition.

BTW, CA is a NFA state. It just has limitations. '

CA is a class III state. Plenty of FFLs in CA have a Class III SOT. No such thing as a class III firearm though if that is what you are thinking.
