Ammunition Transfer: From CA Vendor to CA Vendor

So, it appears that there may be an issue with the law in that as a California Ammunition Vendor you're exempt from the background check requirement, and able to import ammunition from outside the state. However, this does not appear to be the case in state.

We recently received a couple of notifications from LAX Ammunition that they will no longer be shipping ammunition within California.

    Thoughts?

They didn’t want to take my vendor license because of “invoicing” reasons. The employees don’t know what they are doing and I think the guys making the decisions are not experienced with the DOJ. Vendors can buy ammo without a background check, I don’t know what’s hard about that. Just like FFLs don’t have to run checks to FFFLs.

Just talked with LAX. What (the person on the other end of the phone said) they're not accepting is orders from those they "feel" are home based vendors which they determine by the quantity and variation of orders. If you're a bonafide, store front business, you're OK. Rather subjective if you ask me.

So, now it is ironic that the State whittles away at the right of its citizens to defend themselves from the possible oppression of their State.
