    Pistols and Muzzle Break

I have a LEO customer interested in trying to pick up a CZ Czechmate..... I have seen some others for sale with a pinned muzzle break but can't find any actual law reference to why it needs it. Just want to make sure everything is on the up and up for him. I don't think it's a threaded barrel but never actually had one in my hands.... Thanks in advance

    It has a threaded barrel.

Semi-auto pistol that does not have a fixed magazine and a threaded barrel is an assault weapon. [PC 30515(a)(4)(A)]

Therefore, in order to be CA legal, the muzzle device is permanently attached to the barel.

Makes total sense....... I guess I didn't do a good enough search but I could never find a pic that showed a threaded barrel. Thanks for the info

I'm sorry it's OT but wouldn't that mean you cannot remove the barrel from the slide without reversing the "permanent" attachment of the muzzle device?!

capable of accepting a flash suppressor, forward handgrip, or silencer.

So, would it be legal to have a threaded barrel that wasn't capable of accepting any of those three items by being threaded a different pitch?

For example, the vast majority of 9mm suppressors 1/2 x 28. Many Open Guns are threaded for comps which I believe have a different thread pitch than a suppressor of the same caliber.

There are thread pitch adapters to match almost every pitch option imaginable.

Even if the pitch is 66x4 Left Foot .... within a few hours of the gun release ebay will have NAAPA air filter sleaves in the same pitch.

I personally think that's a stretch, but I get what you're saying. I guess every Open gun in CA with a comp is a RAW or URAW.

If they raided CA matches half or more of the people would go to jail. I've seen 3 gunners run 3 100% illegal guns. Very, very few are actually running RAWs or compliant firearms.
