Any FFL in East (SF) Bay accept and transfer in-state Gen3 glock with Stipling job

    Hello Bay Area FFLs,

Anyone able to recieve shipment of a Gen3 Glock 19 that has been stipled and transfer to a non-exempt FSC holder? The Glock is in CA in private hands.

    Thank you for your time.

The stippling job makes it not the same model as tested by DOJ this it’s not on roster in that condition.

This. I have actually wondered... If I have a brand new Gen 3 glock, and I accidentally drop in and scratch the frame.... Is it still on roster? I am thinking no, which is so silly

I would imagine the DOJ wouldn't consider wear and tear with aspects to the roster.

From the heading of this thread Oogaloo I was assuming that the OP was asking for an FFL that would accept and transfer it, like an interstate/ intrastate transfer. This negating the PPT exemption on the roster.

To do the transfer, someone is going to have to make a trip since it isn't considered to be on the certified list. You might find a foolish FFL who either doesn't know it isn't considered to be on the certified list or is willing to ignore it, but that would be a bad idea since if it where to get noticed, you could have problems.

Engraving makes the firearm not considered on the certified list.

Yep, As said, engraving, stippling, cerakote, all makes it not the same model as tested. DOJ has said that the addition or removal of night sights doesn't change roster status however.

The title should have read, "Any FFL willing to openly break the law and lose their CFD?"
