    Ammo purchase denial and ppt

So this morning i met a calgunner and did a ppt,and withen that i decided to buy some ammo to help the shop out.was instantly denied the ammo. Will this have any bearing on the dros?addy on dl doesnt match current so brought current vehicle regi with me that matches current address.ive never been denied a dros before, but last firearms purchase was about 3 years ago,and these new laws are as clear as mud as to whom they help

Successful PPT purchase will add new address to AFS (or, it should) so next ammo buy should work fine.

No, and if you waited to pickup the ammo at end of PPT you would have saved $1 for the check It's no additional cost when picking up ammo at time of firearm purchase assuming the FFL clicks on the right button.

There's probably something different with the submittal. Look carefully at what the employee did and compare it to your DROS where everything was successful.

I have no idea why the COE check failed unless it still compares the same address info from your DROS.

I meant compare what was inputted to your successful firearm DROS. A simple thing like "Street" vs "St" may cause the issue. We don't know for sure what gets matched with the checks. You literally have to compare every field..

If ALL of that matches then there is a CRPA email to contact for getting screwed by the new system.

dros firearm first then when you pick up firearm then you are approved for ammo. Do not put cart before horse. (LOL) I bought ammo yesterday all done in 5 minutes since I have info in system already. There was a guy behind me that was not in system and has to wait 10 days.

He said he got denied 5 minutes after he did his firearm and other ammo pickup. His AFS records should be updated from the firearm pickup. So I'm not sure what's up unless there was some address / typo somewhere.

He was even denied using the COE option..which I find odd..

Ah did not read his later post. Maybe he should have been denied original dros of firearm. A fly in the ointment somewhere.

That's possible, but that wouldn't explain how he was able to get his COE though.
