    Duration of ownership before re-selling

Hi, I'm new to the gun world and still learning the rules...

I'm looking into doing a PPT with seller for a used on-roster pistol, however the seller wants to sell it with a long gun in which I have little to no interest in. The combo price isn't horrendous and I could probably sell off the long gun for cheap and still feel good about what I spent on a used pistol. The only part I'm unaware of is whether or not there is a limitation of how soon can you re-sell a firearm that you just purchased. Obviously there is the glorious 10 days of "ownership", but could the long gun be sold (or put up for sale) as soon as it is picked up, or is there a minimum ownership time frame (ie. 30days, 6 months)? Either my google searches have the wrong words in it, or it's not in black and white for me to find.

    There isn't a time limit.

The only issue is if you had a buyer prior to your doing the transfer to yourself.

will the shop doing the PPT take in in on consignment?

or search for another seller as its on roster
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

        Thanks Kemasa.

Hermosabeach - It hasn't happened yet with this particular sale.... and I may end up keeping it for a while anyway. It's a shotgun, and IMO I have a better one more suited for the only need I have right now, which is home defense. Neither are set up for hunting or skeet, or competition so I don't really need another. That's why I asked.

But I thought of this long ago too...I always see sellers who are hitting their 5 gun limit looking for mutli-firearm sales. I'm a fan of deals, so sometimes I can convince a seller to give me cost savings to do 2 or more, even if I only want 1 or 2.

My first Calguns purchase was 4 guns. Dang tax return + company bonus hit the same week. Got an extra Glock 22 that I was going to flip but didn't know the ins and outs of this process. Of course at this point it's been 4 months so I think I good either way...
