Ammo Check - PO Box on CDL

I'm having issues with successful delivery of ammo if the customer has a PO box listed on his CDL, and that the DES only allows a street address to be entered on the terminal. Has anyone found a way to deliver ammo to an otherwise qualified individual? Customers are getting mighty pissed.

Seriously?

You need their physical address and hopefully it matches whats in the AFS. Otherwise, you need to do the 19 dollar general background check. Still no PO boxes

According to DES help line they recommend that you obtain proof of address but it is not required. I does need to match their record in DES though. The customer can also log into CFARS and see what they have on file and update it if necessary.

CFARS I think allows for updates. Where does it show what you currently have set?

When I look at my record it shows all of my current information. This may not be for everyone though. Of course, as a CFD, COE, AW reg, etc. holder, I have a lot of data in their systems to draw from...

Maybe you can help me out. I, similar to you, have all that records in CFARS too.

It has nothing filled out


What menu do you see your current AFS information on? I want to be able to instruct my customers. I had 1 guy who went to update his info and he was still rejected for a standard check. It would be nice if I could tell future customers where to go to verify their information.

Screenshots would be great (blurring your your info of course) so we can see what menu section it should be under.

Just a question about PO boxes. There is nothing that I saw that said we need to prove their address in the case where their ID has a PO box on it? Amirite? I had a customer who had a PO box ID, we did the standard eligibility check because he said he had a gun in the AFS, (obviously they would not have used his PO BOX) So we asked what his physical address was that he used for the past firearms purchases, we used the address he provided and it when through no problem.

Did I miss anything that says I need a proof of residency document for ammo purchases?
