    Submit Acquisition?

ok I understand the "Submit Acquisition" but my question is. what is this for on the DES login under REVIEW BULLETINS? is this something that takes place when the GUNSTORE buys a firearm from a individual or that take possession of a firearm from a PPT? since I know that anyone one that ships a firearm to a CA DEALER must get a approval letter from CFLC,

    please educate me

OK with that said. say I buy an off roster off someone but not as a PPT but as a dealer buying from a individual. how do I resell it ? would this be as a exempt firearm sale?

          No, completely wrong.

If a sole proprietor buys a firearm and doesn't fill out a 4473, then if they sell the firearm within a year, they are REQUIRED to run it through their business (bound book).

I only know what I have been told by my ATF field rep.

I'm not sole proprietor, and as such, if I want to buy a personal firearm from an individual, or from inventory it needs to go through the DROS process in DES. I don't recall if I am permitted to just write it out of my book to me, but I complete a 4473 anyway for uniformity of documentation.

I was told that if I do either of the above that it cannot reenter my A&D book for 12mo. Which implied that if I want to sell it, I would need to use another licensee.

It just goes to show that you should not blindly believe people, no matter who they are, unless they have shown that they can be trusted.

Please provide reference to the Federal Code or other document which confirms that. When you can't, then you will realize that you can't trust that person.

DROS is CA, not Federal. Since you are not a sole proprietor, you have to do the transfer like anyone else (other than a sole proprietor). No, you can't just write it out of your book to yourself and for you, a 4473 is required, as is all the other required paperwork. Having a CFD can make you exempt from the waiting period, but that again is CA.

That is false. You can transfer it back into your book at any time or you can just sell it without going through your business since 478.125a doesn't apply to you.

I have been told many things, but not all of them are true. When you are told something, you need to confirm it. I was told that when I moved and transferred my FFL, that I had to turn in all my records by an IOI. I called the out of business records department and the person there said that I could, but didn't have to since I was still in business. It didn't matter that the FFL number changed. The person there gave me their name and number for the IOI to call, but the IOI didn't want to call and just dropped it. BTW, I got a trace from a firearm transferred under that old license number, so they know who to call still, even though the phone number changed.

You are an employee of the business. Even if you own 100% of the stock in the company. Thats why technically, you are supposed to give yourself a paycheck on payday and treat yourself as an employee. (minus workers comp)

If you buy a gun and don't want it, you are not prohibited from simply PPT'ing that gun to another person. Again, look at yourself as either an employee or even a customer of the business. (corporation only)

This is for acquisition into your A&D book to eventually sell/transfer a firearm.

If you do consignments, your DES login for this would be here also and the screen would give you the option to enter as a consignment or purchase
