What's the deal with the "Manage Inventory [Allows user to manage ammo Inventory]" permission in DES? I saw it on the instructions for the upcoming updates on 7/1

Good question. Sounds like we'll have to wait till 7/1 to find out how that will work.

I really hope we don't have to add ammo into some DOJ inventory in order to transfer it. That's going to add onto cost / labor for nothing.

I asked what that was for on my 9th call to get an employee setup in the DES system and the guy told me that he "heard we will have to track all ammunition coming into and out of the store" I was hoping he was misinformed. And I still have not been able to add my employee to the DES system.

To me it seems like when doing ammo transfers you are going to have to put in the info: Federal HST 147gr 50 round box.

I think the manage seems like the management pre-imputing the information making the sales person just have to select from a drop down as oppose to typing everything in.

But Im sure im wrong and it wont be that simple.

It's had to imagine that DOJ would go to all the effort and time to make available every conceivable make, caliber, type, etc., of ammo on the marked today note mention all that will be available in the future. But God knows, stranger things have emanated from Sacramento.

Hell they don't even list calibers accurately on the dros. Maybe we wont be allowed to sell ammo that's new and they dont have a listing for like 22 TCM or some older rounds. Who knows!
