I-551 Expired Greencard

Hey all, was hoping to get some help.

I'm looking at purchasing a pistol from Bass Pro (only because I received a gift card), my issue is I have an expired green card at the moment. I do have an I-551 temporary evidence stamp on my passport. Has anyone had any experience with presenting the expired green card along with the passport containing the I-551 stamp to make a purchase?

Best bet would be to either call Bass Pro or wait until your new card comes.

How can someone be so irresponsible so as to blow off the on-time renewal of their I-551, something that only needs to be done once every ten freaking years?

I would be more worried and concerned about being turfed out of the country for not having a current green card.

And I was instructed by ATF not to. Depends on who you talk to...

Fun tidbit; this guy came back with a valid Green Card, got a gun, FBI came by a few weeks later, ICE a few weeks after that, and in a followup told me his *** got deported.

There is no requirement by the BATF to copy anything, only to document what you used/saw.

not if you have a greencard. only required for visa holders.
