PPT question

Question:
Elderly gentleman has dementia, in rest home, can barely function.
In 2008 a PPT occurred and became the owner of a S&W, 66-2 which he bought from a friend.
Wife of elderly man now wants to get it back to friend (original owner). Wife has POA.

What's the process??? Or is there any???

Of course, FSC must be obtained and all that.
66-2 are non roster.

Maybe you cold elaborate a little?? What an "FTF"??

FTF is Face To Face, but it is really just a CA PPT with all of the requirements, which FTF isn't one of the requirements, other than with the CA FFL. In other words, just a normal CA PPT.

If the wife has a POA, then she can sell it using that or transferring it to herself and then doing the transfer as a CA PPT with her ID.

FSC or exemption is needed, as usual.

She should be able to transfer it using the CFARS website. I am not sure if it needs a copy of the POA.
