Can a Senior Citizen CA ID be used as a valid identification that DOES NOT have the "Federal Limits Apply" for firearms purchase. Is the cut-off date for both drivers license and ID the same?

I would assume so.

My CA-ID expires in 2023. (I know it will not for air travel, etc.)

Yes, it is a government ID. The federal limits apply is only an issue for licenses issued prior to 20-Jan-2019 when it was illegal alien only. For a while it was for all, but that changed.

It's the same as a regular California ID, they just don't charge for it due to the "senior citizen" designation.

...and it's for a longer period than a drivers license or regular ID.

My drivers license is up for renewal soon, so want to make sure I have some form of proper ID for a purchase/pick up.
