CA DOJ Signage Update required for 2019

CA DOJ SIGNAGE DEALER REQUIREMENTS

Quite a few are NOT tagging guns in inventory with the ....New warning labels for any firearms transferred or sold in CA (DOJ provided) are required after 1.1.2018, order at tics@doj.ca.gov include your CFD number, contact name, contact number, full address and the total number needed planning for a 3-6 month supply.

The eight large 1" letter signs currently required stay in effect through 2018.

As of 1.1.2019, one new sign is required and 3 others are updated.

A couple of dealers have asked if the signs need to be in the correct order. The answer is NO. They just need to be displayed where they can be seen. The actual order is shown below according to the penal code. Numbering of the signs is not required. The DOJ understands that many of us have signs going back many years with different letters. Heh, we got them all from him and they are all hung up in the room. We are adding the tags on start DROS, do we have to add them when taken into inventory? I assume as long as the guns leave with the tags it's fine?

Can you clarify? What "tags" are you referring to? Is this something new I missed. I already put the smaller warning tags on the guns along with the Federal handgun pamphlet that's required. I don't have the tag in front of me, I don't recall the BOF/DOJ number.

The new tags are a bit larger that the older ones and contain a Att. General web site address for Cit's to use for further info.

I’m running low, I thought we were supposed to order them through the DOJ, I sent an email a few weeks ago and have heard nothing.

Can I make copies on card stock and use those?

You can copy them, but due to the requirements, it needs to be in color?

What address did you email the CA DOJ at? There is a specific email address: tics@doj.ca.gov (corrected, didn't look at the most recent email that I sent)

Where are you located? I got a whole bunch of them, then again I got a whole bunch of the old ones just before they changed, I think that they wanted to get rid of them.
