    New CA resident PPT question

    Hey everyone,

Just recently moved to CA with some off roster hand guns. I have my CDL and I submitted my New Resident Report of Firearm Ownership DOJ form (BOF 4010A). Do I need to wait till the DOJ process the BOF 4010A before I can legally sell one of my pistols? Also, is there anything besides a CDL that I need to bring to an FFL to do the PPT? Thanks.

You should be GTG with a CDL. No other proof of residencey is required. Just may sure you actually are a resident. (You live in CA). I am not sure about having to wait for your 4010A, but I would not think so. Others will comment.

You're not required to register them before you sell them if within the "grace" window to sell or register. If you want to err on the side of caution, just wait.

Nothing other than CDL if your address is current (some FFL's require seller to validate address).
