PPT Pistol, C&R/COE 10 day exempt

So I have gone through this before (a while back so I am revisiting the idea) on how to DROS a C&R handgun PPT transaction where the buyer is C&R/COE 10 day exempt. and I think the DOJ told me to DROS it as a PPT, release it, keeping the C&R/COE with the packet and make a note that it was delivered and to reprint after 10 days and call the DROS phone # and tell them.

Im going to send a email to get it again in writing.

Anyone else know the 1,2,3 on this??

You can call and ask the DES, which I recall what you said is correct.

You could also just have the seller drop it off and do it as a C&R transfer since that has the exemption and the DOJ refuses to fix the PPT.

I want to try and get it in writing for when I am buying C&R pistols (not at MY store). I know how to write them up, but I need to be able to get seller and buyer on the same sheet of music.

Yeah. It is possible to try to educate people, but it is not always possible to be successful. Sometimes it isn't worth it to even try.
