I have a customer looking to ship in a 1919a4 from an out of state vendor. As far as I can tell this should be legal as long as the links are no more than 10 rounds. What should that gun be submitted as through the DROS system? It would seem long gun but not sure since this has not come up. Isn't it really an AOW? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Very much like our CSW, it is a long gun. Federally it is an "other." It is NOT an AOW, but if it was, it would require a tax stamp and SOT.sigpic

I own a Semi auto M2HB and it is not a long gun. It is an "other", You can call my FFl, OC Armory and ask Mike (owner) about it. He is very familiar with the law on Crew Served Weapons.

You would submit DROS as a long gun, other on the 4473. Not an AOW. Opinions vary as to delivering links to a client since some feel that they could be considered components of a large cap mag.Comment
