    PPT question

I have a potentially very stupid question about handgun PPTs. But I read the law and can't say it's very clear, and neither the Calgun wiki nor any of the other FAQs address this directly.

So: I understand that PPT handgun sales are exempt from the 30-day limit. I can buy a PPT handgun right after buying another handgun from a dealer.

But what about the opposite scenario? If I buy a PPT handgun today, can I buy another one from a dealer tomorrow - or do I need to wait 30 days from that last PPT DROS?

1 in 30 is not triggered by a PPT so I would think you would be good. I’m sure if you search there is a similar thread.

I have done a PPT and purchased a new firearm at the same time. Separate transactions but at the counter with the same FFL

Not a stupid question, I've heard lgs employees claim ppt is subject to 30... maybe they just don't like doing them.

Even consignments are (should) be written up as a PPT as well. It honestly doesn't matter what anyone says, look at your DROS paperwork, that will tell you what you need to know.

              PPT question

Depending on your location the only area I know where this would be true are FFL/LGS within LA City (not county) limits.

Just do not do the transaction in the areas considered City of LA. (Reseda Turners, for example)

1 in 30 applies to both new purchase and PPT in LA city.

I found out the hard way, but my seller was great so it all worked with some extra driving.
