    Private Party Transfer question

I am trying to buy a CA on roster handgun, the only 2nd supporting identification I have is a car registration with my name and my mothers.

    I have a CA-ID, a car I don't drive that's registered to me, and my FSC.
Here is where I need your help, is it gonna be a problem for me if my id has a 1 number zipcode error.

For example xxx04 is on my ID and xxx03 is on my registration. Everything is all correct besides that one discrepancy.

Go online and fix the registration issue, assuming that is the one that is wrong. Most likely it wouldn't get noticed, but you should still fix the problem.

Actually my id is wrong, the registration is correct. Should I go and apply for a replacement on my id?

For a handgun, the CA ID/DL is not used for proof of residency. The vehicle registration is a government document, so you should be fine, but you still should get your ID corrected. Realize that if you go in they might punch a hole in your ID, making it no longer valid for firearms.

You can update your address trough theDMV portal I believe. You would have to go in and get a new ID though.
