    DROS/4733 packets?

How do you guys file your stuff during the 10 day and after?

    Incoice/DROS/ID,FSC,POR/Safe handling/safe affidacit/4473?

DROS/4473 together and other stuff on file?

I have a good system that's worked for years, but I always wonder what other people are doing.

I keep everything together during the 10-day. After pick up, 4473 and any multiple forms get attached to the 4473 and filed separately. DROS, POR, ID, FSC, exemption docs etc. gets stapled together and filed. Invoices are filed separate.

It is best to keep the state and federal documents separate, but it is easier to keep them together.

We have 3 bankers boxes labeled "Aces" "DOJ" and "ATF"

In the aces box we put our customer agreement page.

In the ATF box the 4473 only (or multiple sales forms if required but those are stapled to the 4473 anyhow)

In the DOJ box it goes in order Dros approval, dros pending, copies of ID FSC and proof of residency, then if required safety demo, safe affidavit. In that order.

Everything gets tossed in the appropriate boxes when finished at pick up. That way they're always in file from disposition date. When full we write the dates on the box For the contents and pile them up far away for an audit/ trace.

Invoices get stapled with CFLC and FFL and put in a 3 ring binder. We usually do about one a month. These get referenced frequently for about a month. Once we have a few months worth we have a bookshelf in the back that we rescued from the alley behind the stater bros in our shopping center and we have it full of these three ring binders of FFLS. They are labeled on the outside for the correct dates and inventory numbers.

Dros packets in the 10 day wait are piled separately. They have a cover pagebwe call the checklist on top. Easy to find based off the customers name.

          denials are filed separately.
