Midway won't honor ammo vendor permits

Midway will only accept 01 FFL with vendor permit for ammo. Nothing else. No 07 no 03 nada. That is what they just told me. They also won't accept ammo vendor permit from a non 01 FFL. So no ammo sales shops either.

Well if they insist on punishing customers because they don't understand the laws. I won't buy from them. And I've bought some high dollar stuff sometimes. So their loss.

If your a dealer there are less expensive places to purchase ammunition than Midway.

An 07FFL is also a dealer, so to refuse a dealer who can also manufacture is insane. Ignoring anyone who has a permit or is allowed is doing exactly what the anti-gun people want and that raises the question as to whether you want to deal with such a company.

At this time, the company policy is to only accept the Class 01 FFL licenses. I'm not sure if that will change in the future or not. We are not accepting the ammo vendor licenses or certificates of exemption at all.

I suspect they are conferring with their lawyers just to make sure that CA will not land astraddle of them should there be some loophole penalty hidden within the new law that affects online sales.

They have the right to set any policy they want to. I respect their right to do so even if I don't agree with their policies. That said, it's their loss plain and simple. I find it funny that people get upset when a business does not want to take their money. Just walk away and find a business that wants to do business with you.

Most dealers buy their ammo from big ammo dealers not a department store type.

Look in the general gun forum. There is a thread listing ammo dealers that sell to 03s and other ffl holders. That be a good start.
