If someone is selling a handgun on GB to a CA resident who is not roster exempt, what do they need to get from the CA FFL and what do they need to provide to the CA FFL to ensure that they are actually delivering the gun to the FFL to DROS to the CA resident?

For any firearms shipment into CA, assuming the seller is an FFL, they need an account with CALDOJ in their CFLC system in order to generate a CFLC approval and then ship to the CA dealer. It's easy to sign up for this. The CA dealer will need to provide the selling FFL their CFD number for this purpose.
If the selling FFL does not want to participate in CALDOJ's system, a middleman FFL can provide this service.Last edited by EBR Works; 01-15-2018, 7:42 PM. -
