Where do you all get your ca doj certified instructor class

I am in Rancho Cucamonga looking for anybody that has these classes, but not having a lot of luck on the DOJ website. Where do you guys get yours done?

We did ours at firearms training associates in Corona, CA. That was like 8 years ago though.

Now you have a Livescan at your expense ($50-$75), and a yearly fee, and I don’t know what else.

The "what else" is COE (which includes the request for livescan and that should be a one time deal IIRC).

Specified Training Organizations In Firearms Safety
Organizations Specified by Penal Code section 31635, subdivision (b) as providing Acceptable Firearms Safety Training.

Penal Code section 31635, subdivision (b), authorizes Department of Justice to certify individuals possessing a training certificate from an organization enumerated under this subdivision to be a DOJ Certified Instructor.

The training organizations specified under Penal Code section 31635, subdivision (b) are:
Department of Consumer Affairs, State of California-Firearm Training Instructor.
Director of Civilian Marksmanship, Instructor or Rangemaster.
Federal Government, Certified Rangemaster or Firearm Instructor.
Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, Firearm Instructor Training Program or Rangemaster.
United States Military, Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) as marksmanship or firearms instructor. Assignment as Range Officer or Safety Officer is not sufficient.
National Rifle Association-Certified Instructor, Law Enforcement Instructor, Rangemaster, or Training Counselor.
Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST), State of California-Firearm Instructor or Rangemaster.
Authorization from a State of California accredited school to teach a firearm training course.
Comparable Training In Firearms Safety
Entities Recognized by DOJ as Providing Comparable Firearm Safety Training to Those Entities Specified by Penal Code section 31635, subdivision (b).

Penal Code section 31635, subdivision (b) authorizes the California Department of Justice (DOJ) to recognize entities which provide firearms safety training comparable to the entities specified within that subdivision. Individuals possessing a Certificate of Completion from any of the entities so recognized by DOJ may apply to be a DOJ Certified Instructor.

The entities recognized by DOJ as providing firearms safety training comparable to the entities specified by Penal Code section 31635, subdivision (b) are:

Okay yes, I read that page and have a place in yorba Linda lined up, I was just confused by people saying livescan but you clarified that comes at coe time, which I already did. Seems the best way is third party or nra class, although there aren't any good nra classes coming to socal that I can find on their site.
