Thought folks would appreciate a heads up on newly introduced bills. Had no idea it would be met with a dickish response.

              Rules for FFL's Forum.

              1. This forum is for FFLs and those who would like to ask questions in a civil manner.

              2. This forum is to give our FFL members a public place to share information, thoughts and ideas as well as answer serious questions from the membership.

              3. This is NOT a place to air your dislike of or personal grudge with a particular shop or FFL.

              4. Post denigrating or insulting our FFL members will be removed and the poster will no longer be able to access this forum. If you have a legitimate issue with an FFL try to work it out between yourselves via PM first.

              5. Questions for FFLs should be both civil and serious. Questions like 'Why do you gouge..' will get you removed and possibly banned. Frivolous questions will be deleted.

              6. 'FFL Bashing' will NOT be tolerated in this forum at all.

              7. In addition to these special rules, the standard rules still apply here as well.

                Outstanding warrant.

AFAIK, that has always been an option... FFL or police.

Still doesn't change anything after conviction.

Sorry. I was trying to help out. I get a newly introduced bill report every morning and I was trying to highlight for you guys the bills that, if enacted, might create new compliance obligations for FFL’s. Believe it or not some industries actually pay for this information. Apparently this is the wrong forum and a hostile one at that. I’m done. I won’t bother you guys anymore.

How would this be different than the prohibited person storage we already have ?

Current prohibited person storage protects the gun owner who may have a prohibited person visiting or living in their home.

This bill would appear to provide an option other than surrender to the police for a gun owner with a warrant/under indictment, possibly also under a TRO for a DV accusation.

DROS from an FFL plus storage fees would likely be less expensive than the ordeal of having to obtain an LEGR and retrieve your guns from the local PD.
It would also avoid issues with an LEGR taking months to approve, but local PD having a 90-day limit on "safe storage" before the guns are destroyed.
This has happened to two friends who were accused of DV (no charges filed)
