handguns and the roster, questions for FFL's

In my quest to be as professional as i can be at what i do, i try to make it my mission to be 100% compliant and KNOW what guns are on the roster or not.

When i finally grow up (probably won't happen), i want to be just like Kemasa.

I have in fact sent non rostered guns back to the sender at the expense of the transferee who had it sent here.

This would include a rostered gun from out of state that had custom work done it prior to entering the state.

So what does the FFL do when the model and the SKU does not match? When the description does not match the actual firearm for the model number listed? What does the FFL do when there is a CA specific version of the specific model and what is listed is not the actual CA model and is different?

It all gets back to doing what is legal vs. what you think you can get away with.

If there are discrepancies, then it does not get transferred. Unfortunately, that is the way it is.

I had a customer who wanted a firearm which was listed, which had the model and everything, but the listed grips were wrong and those grips never came with the firearm, so it could not be transferred. Another had the wrong model vs. the SKU, again, it does not get transferred. In both cases it was fixed and then the transfer could occur, but it can take a long time or a short time.
