Ok, I've had my COE since 2012, I don't use it, ever, or my 03, (don't shoot or mess with guns anymore) but have kept them up to date and renewed every year, 3 for the 03. My COE was set to expire in Jan 2018, so I renewed it last week with CFARS. I get an email today saying my COE expired in 2014 and I need to start the process over again, even though I have a valid COE and letterhead from the AG sitting right in front of me that expires next year. I emailed DOJ to see what gives. Has anyone here had this same problem?

Then it sounds like they made a mistake. I'm sure they will sort it out. In the mean time I would try to round up a reciept/credit card statement/cancelled check from last years payment just in case you need it.Comment

No, not in the mail, I usually get it towards the end of December. I got this renewal notice in the CFARS app, figured I'd do it online this year.
I have a feeling when they built this app they didn't check the accuracy/field types of their pre-CFARS data. I think DOJ has dropped the ball on the COE renewal letters this year. I never received one and I know several others that didn't get one either. I knew that mine was getting ready to expire and renewed it via CFARS after seeing that it could be done online. Don't count on getting a renewal letter as a reminder.

Vince, here at the shop just renewed his yesterday using the CFARS website. He got his renewal letter on Saturday. So they are still being sent out.Interstate Transfers $100 (DROS included with the price)
