    Cancel DROS Questions

So i ran a LEO non duty(non letter required) firearm under the police officer link today, since the gun is not work related i cancelled it and ran it under the usual exempt handgun sale.

My 1st question is, do i need to fill out BOF958 still or is my cancellation on DROS system and printed form showing cancelled ok.

My 2nd question, not that it matters with LEO but on a normal transaction what is the the likely hood that they deny the second dros if i cancel the first due to error for 1 in 30 violation? not gun info error but personal information error which is not editable.

    thanks in advance

Canceled is canceled and doesn’t count against 1-30 per my rep and when calling into the DES folks.

+1 and I've seen this in practice on more than 1 occasion (unfortunately), such as when I typo something in personal info and have to re-do it for the customer.

I have heard the CA DOJ say that the law says submitted, so whether it was cancelled or not does not matter. Remember with the 1 in 30 violations they cancel it, but now say you have to wait until 30 days after that one. Then again, sometimes they don't.

An officer is exempt from the 1 in 30, so it shouldn't matter.
