    Annie's Guns is closing

    Good Afternoon Calguns

After 14 years in the firearms business, I'm done.
I made a strong effort to pass the business on to another would be FFL but could not get a deal worked out with the land lord and I can't keep dragging this out.

Last day for DROS is 12/20.
All fixtures, safes etc will be for sale.

Very unfortunate OP. I never did have the pleasure of visiting the store. Best of luck with what ever life may bring next.

I feel for you BigMac. Although our business was different, the lessee / lessor situation was the same. Locking the door after 26 years for the last time and just walking away offers up a multitude of feelings.

We wish you the best in your future endeavors.

          Respectfully
          Kyle

I remember when you guys were called Irvington Arms, with Frank, Rich, Martin, Martin's dog... Good times.

Oh and Ian from Targetmasters worked there briefly too.

Dang. I only came there once to do a transfer, and bought a bunch of extra stuff while there. Great shop and I was treated well!

I live in so cal, but worked in Fremont a few years ago and stopped by on the recommendation of FJ. I think I bought a boresnake and a magazine or two, just because of the friendly atmosphere. I didn't really need anything, I was just killing time, but had a good experience, so I bought something based on that. Sorry to see a friendly shop go away.

It is sad to hear a closing of yet another firearm business.

Best wishes in your new what ever Big.

Damn! I was just thinking about you guys while driving to work today.. such a bummer to hear! You guys were always one of the nicest and most helpful FFLs in town.

Do you have a list of what's available somewhere?

This is a sad day, and very unfortunate for things to pan out this way. A great shop with friendly faces throughout the years, this is a business that should not go away, especially here in the bay area. Best of luck on your future endeavors to Bobbie and Martin as well as staff.

The inconvenience of poor quality lingers long after the thrill of a good bargain.

I don't really have a list of stuff remaining.
We have a colt rifle on consignment and ALOT of cool antique military rifles.

We're going to sell the secured display cases. We have a couple of great gun displays that cost over 4K each new and secured fixtures from a jewelry display to sell.

Honestly I only posted this to let FFL's know but appreciate the feedback.
I got into the gun business to keep a local shop going. I wanted a friendly place rather than what I was finding when I gun shopped.
I tried and tried to line up a deal to keep the store open but the land lord is screwing up my plan by dragging her feet. There is a guy literally waiting for a lease agreement to take over. Now he is SOOL and I'm stuck w store fixtures and safes.

If you like military antique rifles you should come see what we have.
If you ever wanted to try a police quality simulator come in next wed afternoon.
That is the last day the simulator is available. The instructor gets 10$ per session. This was a blast

I will miss being a gun dealer but not miss the pressure of being a business owner.

The process to open a store takes so long I can no longer wait. I have been trying to get out for 6 months.

I might swing by tomorrow to see what's left in that case, I'll be passing by anyway.
