    Shipping Firearms to another state

    any help/guidance is appreciated; im not an ffl and am having trouble figuring this out.

    moving from california to florida in the near future, and want to move my firearms in the easiest/cheapest/safest way. Using a shipping company/moving van for my household items/furniture/etc.

    IF i can find a moving van to take them, that would be my preferred method to ship as there are quite a few and that would be cheapest.

    i see 4 buckets;
    long guns
    hand guns
    registered assault weps RAW
    nfa weps

    nfa weps i understand since there are so many rules on those.

    i think long guns can be shipped either via the moving van or i can mail them to myself at the new address via usps.

    the handguns; i think these are treated the same as long guns; ie moving van or mail to myself. but i dont think the large moving van companies will take them based on my calls so far.

    the RAW; i have no clue the best way to do this. can they go via moving van? can i ship to myself? even though california wants these to go out of state, i assume they wont make it easy.

    thanks for any guidance.

      Are you driving to FL? If so, take them with you (depending on how many you have. Isa there someone in FL you can ship them to? Have you check FL gun laws to see what might affect any shipping of firearms?
      If you're driving, rent a U-Haul..

        Not if you want to live, as well as other issues.

        A rental truck is a good idea for valuable items so that you can keep control of them.

        UHaul Sucks. U-Haul Sucks. U-Haul truck trailer rental risk reservation is dangerous move.

          RAWs -- disassemble so they are not in AW config and ship like longguns/handguns.
