any help/guidance is appreciated; im not an ffl and am having trouble figuring this out.
moving from california to florida in the near future, and want to move my firearms in the easiest/cheapest/safest way. Using a shipping company/moving van for my household items/furniture/etc.
IF i can find a moving van to take them, that would be my preferred method to ship as there are quite a few and that would be cheapest.
i see 4 buckets;
long guns
hand guns
registered assault weps RAW
nfa weps
nfa weps i understand since there are so many rules on those.
i think long guns can be shipped either via the moving van or i can mail them to myself at the new address via usps.
the handguns; i think these are treated the same as long guns; ie moving van or mail to myself. but i dont think the large moving van companies will take them based on my calls so far.
the RAW; i have no clue the best way to do this. can they go via moving van? can i ship to myself? even though california wants these to go out of state, i assume they wont make it easy.
thanks for any guidance.
